Message Delivery

Delivery times can't always be guaranteed as they depend on a number of factors including the performance of telecommunications providers and networks, radio-telephone interference caused by atmospheric conditions, interferences in wave propagations, the addressee of the message being outside of the operator’s coverage area, or SIM card memory overload.

However as a general guide:
  • Average SMS delivery time is under 20 seconds
  • 99 % of SMS messages are delivered within 60 seconds (handset must be available i.e. turned on and within range)
  • A standard fax page would be delivered within 30 seconds to a non-busy fax device
  • Inbound messages typically take between 30 and 60 seconds to process
  • Single SMS (140 Bytes) will be sent out at approximately 3000 - 4000 messages per minute
