Colour coding and symbology
Colour coding can be a powerful tool in managing and presenting incident information. It can enhance lists, tables and maps to denote the priorities of certain information, the state of completeness or different categories, types or states.
Rather than having to rely on the assumptions of your software provider, or pay to customise software, the OCA Designer tool gives you complete control over your colour coding and symbology.
The OCA colour-coding and symbology feature allows you to assign colours and symbols to tasks, events and assets.
The key benefits are that it enables viewers to quickly perceive the status of key information, easily group together similar information, spot relationships and similarities, and enables users to focus on priority information.
OCA colour coding & symbology allows you to:
- Visually categorise events, logs, reports, tasks, requests, contacts and assets
- Quickly identify, sort, and retrieve the relevant information
- Link and create relationships between events, tasks and resources
- Indicate key information to prompt a response or action
- Symbols and colour-coding are reflected on maps, giving you an instant geospatial representation of the situation
