OCA Connect
What is OCA Connect?
Noggin provides a unique solution for interoperability and information sharing known as OCA Connect. It is a fully-hosted, high-availability software service that enables information to be shared securely and in real-time between organisations, regardless of the source or destination system or platform. By acting as a secure intermediary, OCA Connect removes the need for organisations to expose their systems to the internet, and ensures that organisations know and have control over who they are sharing information with and when. The OCA Connect service is fully integrated into OCA products, or can be separately subscribed to where other information or incident management solutions are already in place.

How does it work?
In contrast with traditional interoperability models, OCA Connect removes the need to build separate connections with each system where integration is needed and streamlines data mapping to one structure, thus reducing integration effort and costs, including maintenance.
Because it is built on a high-availability platform, data sharing can continue even if individual systems or network connections are unavailable, reducing the risk of miscommunication or non-communication. It also makes it easy to comply with multiple standards (NIEM, CAP, RSS, GeoRSS, KML), and reduces the costs of supporting and maintaining many different integration connections and technologies.
